Ariane Koek

Ariane is an independent strategic consultant, producer, curator and writer in arts, science and technology.  She works internationally with a range of organisations including The Exploratorium museum of science, art and human perception in USA; Cavendish Laboratories, Cambridge University; Science Gallery Venice, and European Commission’s Environmental science and policy hub, the Joint Research Centre based at Ispra, Italy.

She is known for initiating in 2009, designing, fundraising and directing the Arts at CERN programme which she directed for 5 years, based at the world’s largest particle physics laboratory outside Geneva.

Prior to Arts at CERN, Ariane was awarded a Clore Fellowship for her work in culture as CEO of the Arvon Foundation for Creative Writing and for her career as an award-winning staff producer at the BBC in both television and radio.

Her career is dedicated to her belief in the power of the imagination to break paradigms and lead to societal, individual and cultural change for the good of all.  Fundraising and partnership building are a crucial part of her work in making initiatives happen.
