Sarah joined the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) as Head of Public Fundraising in 2016. She was promoted to Director of Fundraising and Communications in 2018, and leads a team of 25 across four nations, spanning disciplines including digital, media, corporate, legacies, individual and community fundraising.
She is an experienced leader in charity fundraising having built her career over the last 25 years. Starting with a work placement at the Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind, as part of her Business Studies degree. Sarah went on to volunteer with Oxfam and the Terrane Higgins Trust, leading to holding leadership fundraising roles at Coram, WaterAid, Marie Curie Cancer Care as Head of Supporter Development and before joining MHF spent 11 years at The Aspinall Foundation, developing and managing their fundraising programme, based in their zoo in Kent.
Sarah is a certified One of Many™women’s leadership coach and trainer, as well as a founding member of the Charity Collective, who are a collective of independent coaches working collaboratively to support change, development and growth in the charity sector.
